We have about 100,000km of arteries, 250,000km of veins and approximately 160,000km of lymph running through our bodies! How amazing is that?
Arteries, which carry blood from the heart, veins, which carry blood to the heart, and lymph that collects and transports foreign material.
We know how important our blood is as it provides us with oxygen and nutrients. This blood transport system is fully supported having the almighty heart to pump it around the body. Always flowing until it either blocks up or we die. The poor old, hard working lymph system doesnt have a pump. It relies on bodily movement for circulation and we know… we dont move as much as we should.
Dis-ease is a process of house cleaning. It is a healing effect. It is a vital struggle to overcome obstructions and to keep the channels of circulation free. Tubes are meant to flow freely. You, physically, are nothing but tubes.
If you were able to see your inner tubes, what would they look like? Would they be free flowing? Would they be congested, inflamed, blocked?
Prevention if better than cure!
Make sure your looking after all your inner tubes!
Maybe its time to do a fast or change some lifestyle habits?
Congestion…
We have congestions spots all through our body where these tubes tend to block, mainly our joints.
What are you doing to ensure your blood & lymph are flowing?
Are you eating and drinking the right foods?
Are you including self massage?
Have you tried compression therapy?
I have many clients that arrive with sore lower backs, aching legs and walk away with no pain after a lymphatic massage & compression therapy.
What do we concentrate on?
Flow! Lymph flow! Blood Flow!
Where to start…
- Water – drinking at least 1 litre for every 22kg of body weight.
- Movement – walking & rebounding are the best options
- Wholefoods – Plant based nutrition
- Self Massage – Invest in some lymphatic gloves for daily use
- Compression Therapy – book in at our clinic
- EAT your LEAFY GREENS!
A good reason to eat your leafy veiny greens!
Look at the veins on these chard leaves!!! They look just like blood & lymph!
The body is supplied oxygen and nutrients to all parts of the body from the heart. Arteries carry blood from the heart towards the body parts, while veins carry blood from the body parts back to the heart. To return blood to your heart, the veins in your legs must work against gravity. The veins act as one-way valves to prevent the blood from flowing backwards as the blood is pumped back to the heart. If the one-way valve becomes weak, some blood can leak back to the vein, collect there, and become congested or clogged. This congestion will cause the vein to become abnormally large. These enlarged veins can be either varicose veins or spider veins. Another good reason to eat your leafy veiny greens and make sure your inner tubes are flowing.
Lymphatic Compression is the MOST effective way to improve circulation, re-educate lymphatic flow, flush lactic acid and increase oxygenation to muscle tissues.
Most people fall into a deep sleep while relaxing in our beautiful room, listening to a meditation or music… believe me whether you are:
- returning to sport with sore muscles
- sick of thick swollen ankles
- stressed and need a new form of relaxation
- concerned about the shape of your body
- recovering from surgery
- need to improve your circulation
- just want to LOVE YOUR BODY
Active recovery ensures faster results. Add in a lymphatic massage to enhance your results 😉
It improves mobility and provides profound healing results for patients with conditions including lymphedema, venous insufficiency, non-healing wounds, and other circulatory conditions.
