SIX Natural Remedies To Cleanse My LYMPHATIC SYSTEM

HOW CAN I CLEANSE MY LYMPATHIC SYSTEM NATURALLY?

As a Lymphatic Massage Therapist, this question is asked a lot! Firstly do you know what the Lymphatic System does? Did you know its our own Drainage System? Our bodies are so amazing, it created a system to collect and dispose of waste products, bacteria, damaged cells and even cancer cells. Therefore lets say it is our Waste Disposal!

The Lymphatic System collects the waste and heads to the lymph glands which will filter the lymph. It also transports fats from the digestive system. If Lymph vessels or nodes are blocked, removed or damaged it can cause a build up of fluid. This can cause cellulite and also swelling known as Lymphedema.

Natural Steps you can implement:

  1. Lymphatic Drainage Massage

Our lymph has a one way valve and flows in only one direction, this is towards the heart. Now our Lymphatic System does not have a pump to move the lymph to where it needs to go and therefore relies on us to get it moving. With Lymphatic Massage we must follow the correct procedure to get this lymph to move in the right direction. A great way to do this is via a Lymphatic Massage Therapist. Guess What? Yes I am a Lymphatic Massage Therapist!!! Feel free to book in for a massage here: Lymphatic Massage

2. A Lymphatic Drainage Massage Glove to use at home

These gloves do such an amazing job! They support lymphatic drainage with both a spikey side to the glove and a magnetic roller side and it only takes a few minutes per day! A minute before your shower and a minute after your shower that is it! These babies are also fantastic for pre and post workouts to ease the muscles. How good is that?? Going on holidays and cant get to your Lymphatic Massage Therapist then take these with you so you have some drainage while your on the road or travelling!! Want to know more? Message me anytime.

3. Rebounding

Who has one of these? I definately do! All you need is 10 minutes per day to get your Lymph moving. Split it into 2 x 5 minute sessions. Super cheap to buy too! Try your local K-Mart or Big W and they should be between $50 to $80 Australian dollars. Definately a great investment.

Dont go crazy on it, just bounce, if you have knee / ankle issues you can even just bounce enough that your heals dont even come off the mat.

Give it a go!!! Have fun bouncing!

4. Deep Breathing

Through deep breathing we increase the movement of lymph through the bloodstream and therefore it dramatically increases the elimination of toxins.

A great breathing technique taught by Tyler Tolman is the 7 rounds of 7. Making sure to expand your diaphragm when breathing in through your nose. Breathe in to the count of 7, hold for 7, breathe out to the count of 7 then hold for 7. Repeat this 7 times. Let me know how you go!! If these is too hard to start with then make it to the count of 4.

Deep breathing exercises can be done anywhere! When you wake up, while walking, while driving (be careful) and even while watching your favourite program. I prefer to do it in bed just before I go to sleep.

5. Movement

Movement is essential for a healthy Immune / Lymphatic System! When your muscles are moving this also helps move and pump the lymph within its vessels.

Enjoy things like – Walking, running, swimming, bike riding, yoga, even the gym. If you cant get out and about invest in the rebounder I spoke about above.

Movement can be enjoyed by yourself or you can enjoy with family & friends.

6. Eating the Right Foods

When it comes to eating the right foods to support the Lymphatic System I always follow Don Tolman The Wholefood Medicine Man and what he recommends.

Start adding more of the following foods to your daily routine: Apples, Berries, Garlic, Shallots, Honeydew Melon, Horseradish, Leeks, Lemons, Limes, Oranges, Peach, Prickly Pear Cactus, Radishes, Tangerines.

Did you know he has written many books? Even one that explains the 7 Body Systems and what foods are best to eat that support each of those systems? It is called his Farmacist Desk Reference Vol 3.

There are many more ways to boost and look after your Lymphatic System. Start with these six and I guarantee you will notice a difference.

Here’s to a healthy Lymphatic System for you and your family.
